Chief Michael E. Maresca
Michael E. Maresca was appointed to Chief of Police on February 21, 2023. Chief Maresca holds an Associate in Arts degree from Orange County Community College and is a 2008 graduate of the Orange County Police Chiefs Association's Police Academy. In addition to being the Chief of the Mount Hope Police Department, Chief Maresca was a full-time Sergeant with the Village of Maybrook Police Department. It took him just 3 and half years to rise to the rank of Sergeant where he became the first ever Civil Service Sergeant in the history of the Village of Maybrook's Police Department.
Chief Maresca is married with two children and in his spare time loves to travel with them. Maresca and his family also love the outdoors as they enjoy hiking and rafting.
Deputy Chief Curtis Hahne

Deputy Chief Hahne holds an AAS in Criminal Justice/Police Science and has gained multiple certifications in his years with the Village of Monticello and City of Newburgh Police Departments. Deputy Chief Hahne began his Law Enforcement career as a Police Officer with the Village of Monticello Police Department. During his time with the Village of Monticello, Curtis became a certified Bicycle Patrol Officer. After an approximate 3-year stint with Monticello, Curtis transferred to the City of Newburgh Police Department where he would spend the next 18 years up until his retirement in April of 2020. In addition to being a Certified Police Instructor, Curtis was a certified Bloodhound handler of K9, Tank, for 8 years. Subsequent to K9 Tank’s retirement in 2018, Curtis was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. As a Sergeant, he also became a member of the City of Newburgh’s Hostage Negotiation Team. After his retirement from the City of Newburgh and before being hired as our Deputy Chief, Curtis also spent a little over 2 years back as a Police Officer for the Village of Harriman Police Department. In Deputy Chief Hahne’s spare time, he volunteers as a Scoutmaster for the Village of Otisville’s Troop 1. In addition to being a scoutmaster, he also loves spending time with his wife and children.

Administrative Assistant Formosa has an extensive background in clerical work and holds a BBA in Human Resource Management. Charlotte is also an experienced seamstress, which is equally impressive, considering that this has become a lost art. In her spare time, Charlotte enjoys spending time with her husband Paul, her daughter Caitlin, and her son Carl.
