Mission

The mission of the Town of Mount Hope Police Department is to enhance the quality of life in our Town by working in partnership with the community and in accordance with constitutional rights to enforce law, preserve the peace, reduce fear, and provide for a safe environment.

• Value human life, respect the dignity of each individual, and render our services with courtesy and civility.

• Maintain a higher standard of integrity than is generally expected of others because so much is expected of us.

• Protect the lives and property of our fellow citizens and impartially enforce the law.

• Fight crime both by preventing it and by aggressively pursuing violators of the law.

• Treat people like you would want to be treated or you would want members of your family to be treated by the police.

• Make people feel important as well as their problems.

• Demonstrate the use of good discretion towards people.
